If you still want to consider other ERP vendors, please ask these following questions to them

  1. The cost mentioned is absolute or on the basis of man hours/days? Sometimes the vendor does not scope the work correctly and you might end up paying much more than the estimated cost. This is a common problem with most ERP vendors.
  2. My business logic is unique. Indian environment needs some unique flexibility. Do the ERP have the right business logic?
    Eg: there is a big customer order In hand. You do not have sufficient stocks. You know you will manage stocks but will the ERP allow you to enter the order?
    There are so many such situations which might be unique to the Indian environment. Choose an ERP which gives you flexibility to manage such situations.
  3. How much time will the deployment take? Generally an ERP vendor will take up to 1year for deployment and stabilize ERP. Some vendors can deploy ERP in even 6 months.
  4. With the growth of my business I will need upgrades/ additions in the ERP. Is upgrade cost reasonable or I will be overcharged?
